lyrics

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR SINGING A SONG
WITH A BEAUTIFUL MELODY.
BUT IT’S NO FUN AT ALL TO SING IT ALONE.
COME SING IT ALONG WITH ME?
LET’S LIVE IN A SONG AND PLAY ON A RHYME.
WITH A BEAUTIFUL HARMONY.
WHEN THE PROBLEMS YOU FACE TEAR YOU APART,
LET THE MUSIC SET YOU FREE.
ALL THE PEOPLE WALKING DOWN THAT CROWDED AVENUE,
THEY’D HEAR A HAPPY SONG
AND THEY’D CHASE AWAY THE BLUES.
A MOMENT OF WORDS, LIKE A SCULPTURE OF CLAY,
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SOUND…FOR A BEAUTIFUL DAY.

WITH BEAUTIFUL SMILE COME STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART
AND THE SOUND OF A SYMPHONY,
WE’LL PLAY IN THE SUN WHILE UNDER THE SHADE,
AND YOU DRIFT AWAY TO DREAM.
ALL THE CHILDREN PASSING BY WOULD LOVE THE SONG WE SING.
LIKE A MOTHER’S LULLABY, IT ECHOES IN THE SPRING.
FORGET AND FORGIVE, LET TROUBLE FADE AWAY.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SOUND…FOR A BEAUTIFUL DAY.

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL SOUND. LET ME SHOW YOU THE WAY.
TO A BEAUTIFUL DAY.

about

Jack Nimersheim Fort Mitchell, Kentucky

Fifty years!

That's how much time has passed since I first stepped on stage, picked up a guitar, and started playing music for the folks "out there".

Lucky for you, I don't have any recordings of those "teenage" performances. The albums on this page, however, provide a pretty good retrospective of the music I've been fortunate enough to help create, between the early '70s and now.
