about

Ah, 2020-2021. An odd couple of years. Coronavirus. COVID-19. Masks and mandates. And perhaps that most surreal of pandemic precautions: self-isolation.

Isolate a singer/songwriter in his home recording studio, with only his Muse and a room filled with musical instruments to keep him company, and this is what happens.

Some of the tracks on this album are old songs I've revisited and reworked into new versions. Others are newer songs that eighteen months of pandemic-induced solitude allowed me to create and complete with very few distractions or interruptions.

They're all just some guy named Nimersheim, self-isolating, making music in that aforementioned home studio -- quite literally, "All Nimersheim, all the time."

A self-indulgent, pandemic-induced ego trip? Probably.

An album of which I'm extremely proud? Definitely.

Enjoy...

about

Jack Nimersheim Portland, Oregon

60 years.

That's how much time has passed since I first picked up a guitar, stepped on stage and started playing music for the folks "out there." I was 12.

Fortunately for me (and all of you) no recordings exist of those early performances. The albums on this page, however, provide a pretty good retrospective of the music I've helped create, over the past six decades.
